About Accra, Ghana
Accra, Ghana’s capital, was originally a Ga settlement in the 15th century before becoming an important trading hub for the Portuguese, Dutch, and British. The Ga people, an ethnic group native to the coastal region, established fishing and trading communities here, which later evolved into a major commercial centre.
