Transport is included at no additional cost and will depart from the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel, transport delegates to the selected site visit, and return them to the hotel afterwards.

Please note that only registered conference attendees are eligible to book a site visit.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

• Assembly & departure. Delegates assemble in the Skylight Hotel main lobby at designated start time of selected site visit for badge check and boarding; coaches depart promptly. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated once the convoy departs.
• Transport, refreshments & lunch. All logistics, refreshments and the hosted lunch is generously sponsored by the Ministry of Health (MOH). No cost to delegates.
• Registration. Places are limited and subject to availability. Delegates must carry their conference badge and a photo ID throughout the visit.
• Warehouse access. The tour passes through active warehouse and loading areas: closed shoes are required, high-visibility vests will be provided where needed, and delegates must remain with their guide and follow site safety instructions at all times.
• Photography. Photography only allowed where expressly permitted by the site visit guides.

Ethiopia’s National Regulatory Authority, having proudly achieved ML3 status in September 2025 becoming the 9th regulator in Africa to have achieved this status, has worked closely with the local manufacturing industry to support the road to compliance. Participants will visit EFDA’s Center of Excellence that is being built to serve as a regional center for state- of the art QC labs, and capacity building, as well as hear of the road to ML3 and lessons learnt, will learn how our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited QC laboratories and 17020 inspection system, and digital regulatory platforms are supporting our local and overseas businesses.
